Michael D. Frederick

Michael D. Frederick is vice president, LNG operations. Frederick is responsible for operations at the Cove Point LNG facility in Maryland. Frederick joined the company in 1982 and has held various positions in engineering and operations in Gas Transmission. When Dominion purchased Cove Point in 2002, he led the transition team and later was named director, LNG operations. In September 2011, Frederick was named director, planning, reliability and GIS services at Dominion Virginia Power; in that role, he was involved in two of the three largest restoration events in DVP history—Hurricane Irene in September 2011 and the June 2012 major storm system called a derecho. He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is past president of the Anne Marie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center in Maryland.
