Group Director, Midstream and Industry Operations, American Petroleum Institute
Robin Rorick is the group director of Midstream and Industry Operations at the American Petroleum Institute. Rorick joined API in 1996 and for the last five years has worked as API’s director of marine and security. In his 20 years at API, Rorick has worked in various capacities in communications, regulatory and scientific affairs and policy analysis. Additionally, he has been involved with each segment of the industry -- upstream, midstream and downstream – working on a myriad of issues, including climate change, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act and the Toxic Substances Control Act, to name a few. Rorick is responsible for all energy infrastructure issues for API and regularly represents it to the media, at conferences and at other speaking venues. He is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and then later Johns Hopkins University.
